Anyone see The Hangover? I one day thought about the endless possibilities of eyewear that could go on a baby and how funny it looks because of the overly large frames, obviously made for adults. That iconic image of the baby with the sunglasses was all I needed to get the creative juices flowing. I hand drew my cartoon baby and left him sitting in a diaper.
I had a blast searching out and discovering new eyewear...everything from fashionably exquisite to silly party disguises. I wanted the focus to be on the eyewear and how it sits on the baby's face, maintaining that universally dumbfounded look he has so I chose not to alter anything else in the image.
There were many pairs of glasses that I found challenging to "hang" properly on the baby's face. In fact some of them would, in reality, show his eyes either through or over the lenses, depending on the shape of the glasses. Despite all of this, I followed one rule...never show the eyes. It's that little bit of mystery that I think retains some of that comical innocence he has. Also, every pair of glasses has to actually exist in reality, I can't make them up or create them from scratch.
I hope you enjoy browsing through them as much as I did creating them.
I would very much appreciate some likes on the collection items, it can gain popularity that way.
